Soy and your diet
By now, you should have read the real scoop about the AHA report on soy and heart disease. Assuming you did, the panel which issued the report also declared that soy-based foods are a benefit to your diet because of their high content of polyunsaturated fats, fiber, vitamins, minerals and low saturated fat content. Of course, this agrees with what dieticians have said all along—that is, soy may be beneficial when eaten in place of less nutritious foods such as hamburgers or hot dogs which do not promote your health but may well do the opposite.
Eat well and be well.
